Today, the company is a world leader in athletic apparel and footwear, rooted in the vision of its founder and namesake, champion gymnast Li Ning. Li founded the company in 1990 with the goal of providing Chinese athletes with a national brand to wear on the world stage.
Len Carter, president of LN Distribution Inc. said, “kudos to Badminton Canada, Badminton Ontario and the organizing committee, for bringing this world class event to the GTA [Greater Toronto Area]. Badminton is the top participatory sport in Markham area schools and this is an opportunity for local club players to witness the sport at an extremely high level”. “We are extremely pleased that Li-Ning has joined us as our major sponsor for the BWF World Junior Badminton Championships 2018” said Ian Moss, President of Badminton Ontario, “with this being the largest badminton event hosted in Ontario in modern time, we certainly knew that we needed a world class partner like Li-Ning to manage and support the work of our organising committee to deliver an event of this magnitude on the world stage”.
