BWF Coaching Conference

The BWF Coaching Conference will be conducted at Hilton Toronto Markham Suites and Markham Pan Am Centre on Friday, November 16 and Saturday, November 17, 2018. The programme is aimed at giving national and international coaches an opportunity to access the most up-to-date coaching methods and practices.

The conference programme will provide the latest information about the art of coaching young athletes, including practical sessions and formal presentations. The BWF Coaching Conference programme continues the tradition of giving coaches at all levels access to some world-class coaches and experts within and outside our great game.

Please note the deadline to register is October 26, 2018.

3. Invitation Letter: All participants who need an official invitation letter from

Wade Gilbert
Is currently a professor in the Department of Kinesiology at Fresno State University. Wade has helped write nearly 100 publications in relation to coaching and sport science.

Kenneth Larsen
Is a former Danish National Coach, and professor of sport science at Aalborg University.

David Cabello
Is the BWF Development & Sport for All Committee Chair, and Physical Education lecturer at the University of Granada.

Scott Sandison
Has represented Canada over 170 times in the sport of field hockey, competing in the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics. Scott works for Right To Play – a global organization committed to improving the lives of children and youth.

Tracy Hallam
Is a former English National player who won Gold at 2006 Commonwealth Games. Currently she is New Zealand national coach.

Niels Christian Kaldau
Is a former Danish National player, he is now a specialist in orthopedic surgery, particular involved in surgery of shoulder, hip and knee.

Jennifer Lee
Is a professional badminton coach with over 25 years of badminton coaching experience. She is known for her coaching finite badminton skills and also on court strategies.

Mike Butler
Former Canadian international player, currently National Head Coach for Badminton Canada, overseeing junior and senior national teams.

Efendi Wijaya
Is a professional badminton coach, with 13 years of Coaching Experience (Canada, Indonesia, and Singapore).
